A garden can mean many different things to many different people —
a place for gathering outdoors, a place of quiet reflection, a place to grow beautiful and edible things, and for a child, a place to learn and play and begin one's first explorations of the natural world.
As a residential landscape designer, my first aim is to determine the specific needs of my clients, as well as the unique dreams of a garden they may possess. Through this process of investigation I begin to develop ideas and solutions for spaces that are in need of revitalization. The gardens I create are functional, beautiful, and ultimately are expressions of the people and families that will spend time in them.
I offer Landscape Design consultation at affordable rates to individuals in and around the Berkeley area. My designs can include hardscape (stone, wood, concrete, etc.) and/or planting design, the interplay of the two creating unique and finished spaces. Working in conjunction with two local Landscape Contractors and their experienced crews, my gardens are designed and built to suit a variety of budgets, with quality of materials and a high level of craftsmanship always a priority.
